She's been the victim and the survivor…

Poppy never dreamed she would find the love she’s found with Prince Casteel. She wants to revel in her happiness but first they must free his brother and find hers. It’s a dangerous mission and one with far-reaching consequences neither dreamed of. Because Poppy is the Chosen, the Blessed. The true ruler of Atlantia. She carries the blood of the King of Gods within her. By right the crown and the kingdom are hers.

The enemy and the warrior…

Poppy has only ever wanted to control her own life, not the lives of others, but now she must choose to either forsake her birthright or seize the gilded crown and become the Queen of Flesh and Fire. But as the kingdoms’ dark sins and blood-drenched secrets finally unravel, a long-forgotten power rises to pose a genuine threat. And they will stop at nothing to ensure that the crown never sits upon Poppy’s head.

A lover and heartmate…

But the greatest threat to them and to Atlantia is what awaits in the far west, where the Queen of Blood and Ash has her own plans, ones she has waited hundreds of years to carry out. Poppy and Casteel must consider the impossible—travel to the Lands of the Gods and wake the King himself. And as shocking secrets and the harshest betrayals come to light, and enemies emerge to threaten everything Poppy and Casteel have fought for, they will discover just how far they are willing to go for their people—and each other.

And now she will become Queen…

THIS BOOK WAS A RIDE SENT STRAIGHT FROM THE HEAVENS!

JLA has done it again with The Crown of Gilded Bones!

From the first line we’re thrown back into the depths of Atlantia and the intensity that is Poppy’s life.

After chapter one I was certain this was going to be a five star read. By the end I was reeling with emotion and throwing countless stars at this book. It deserves all of the stars! Every single one!

Poppy continues to be a heroine for the ages and I absolutely love who she is becoming. Her compassion and independence is beautiful and I think it’s something that should be spoke about more often. Just because you care and are a ball of empathy, doesn’t mean you’re weak.

I also really enjoy getting to know Kieran’s character. As he is a personal favourite of mine seeing his and Poppy’s relationship develop in this book was *chef’s kiss*.

The Crown of Gilded Bones was full of adventure and a plethora of plot twists. I enjoyed myself throughout the entire book and am already awaiting JLA’s next installment!

Hi there!

I’m Diane, I suffer from wanderlust and am from Toronto, Ontario.

Since I was a wee bairn I was obsessed with reading and the fantastical worlds books would sweep my away in. Flash forward 28 years, I can now be seen running through the trees in hopes of being carried to a world far far away, but mostly just tripping over tree roots.

When I’m not reading or watching What We Do In The Shadows on repeat, I can be found tracing my lineage to the ancient Vikings and Scots. Oh! And making organic dog treats for my high-maintenance pets.
