[Emily’s Review]: Husband Material by Alexis Hall

Wanted:
One (very real) husband
Nowhere near perfect but desperately trying his best

In BOYFRIEND MATERIAL, Luc and Oliver met, pretended to fall in love, fell in love for real, dealt with heartbreak and disappointment and family and friends…and somehow figured out a way to make it work. Now it seems like everyone around them is getting married, and Luc’s feeling the social pressure to propose. But it’ll take more than four weddings, a funeral, and a bowl full of special curry to get these two from I don’t know what I’m doing to I do.

Good thing Oliver is such perfect HUSBAND MATERIAL.

[Emily’s Review]: Never Been Kissed by Timothy Janovsky

I DNF’d this book at 69%. That is a lot of book to commit to, to not finish.Yet here we are. This is a book about a pretentious film studies “expert”, written by a pretentious film studies “expert” for other pretentious film studies “experts”.  The incessant and unnecessary mention of obscure vintage television shows, actors […]

[Skye’s Review]: Never Been Kissed (Boy Meets Boy #1) by Timothy Janovsky

This was so freaking cute!! At first, I wasn’t sure if this book would be for me. The writing style wasn’t working for me for the first couple of chapters. However, that all changed when Wren sent emails to the 4 guys he almost kissed. Needless to say, after that, I was immediately invested. Never […]

[Asis’ Review] The One for You by Roni Loren

I don’t have anything to say about the writing, really. No complaints at all, it was perfectly okay but nothing that stood out to me immensely either. In general, I had no problems with any characters or their relationships (I did love the relationship of the main couple with the old couple). Since I never […]

[Skye’s Review]: Electric Idol (Dark Olympus #2) by Katee Roberts

Neon Gods was the first book I have ever read by Katee Robert. I fell in love with her take on Hades and Persephone. When I heard about the next installment in her Dark Olympus series, I knew I needed it in my hands as soon as possible. This time around, I had no idea […]

[Skye’s Review]: Lucky Leap Day by Ann Marie Walker

Lucky Leap Day made me smile from the first page to the very last. If you’re looking for a lighthearted, sweet, and funny romance, then this is the book for you. This book follows Cara and her adventures in Dublin–and the repercussions. Cara wakes up on her last day in Dublin and realizes she drunkenly […]

[Portia’s Review]: Lucky Leap Day by Ann Marie Walker

My first two thoughts when I was considering this book: I really hate these new cartoonish covers for romance books. This sounds so freaking adorable. And it was just that: adorable. We follow Cara, who decided to go ahead and go on a trip to Ireland that was supposed to include her now ex-boyfriend. Since […]

[Diane’s Review]: King of Battle and Blood by Scarlett St. Clair

Will They Fight or Will They Fuck? The Ultimate Rhetorical Question For This Book. Where do I even begin? Before you all come for me… This was hands down one of the most ridiculous books I’ve ever read. So here we go, from the top! Enter Killian: Probably the most obnoxious male character I’ve had […]
