{Emily’s Review}: Before I Saw You, By Emily Houghton

Alice Gunnersley and Alfie Mack sleep just a few feet apart from one another. They talk for hours every day. And they’ve never seen each other face-to-face.

After being in terrible accidents, the two now share the same ward as long-term residents of St. Francis’s Hospital. Although they don’t get off to the best start, the close quarters (and Alfie’s persistence to befriend everyone he meets) brings them closer together. Pretty soon no one can make Alice laugh as hard as Alfie does, and Alfie feels like he’s finally found a true confidante in Alice. Between their late night talks and inside jokes, something more than friendship begins to slowly blossom between them.

But as their conditions improve and the end of their stay draws closer, Alfie and Alice are forced to decide whether it’s worth continuing a relationship with someone who’s seen all of the worst parts of you, but never seen your actual face.

A tender novel of healing and hope, Before I Saw You reminds us that connections can be found even in the most unexpected of places—and that love is almost always blind.

[Shana’s Review]: The House Swap by Jo Lovett

Ok, the premise of “The House Swap” by Jo Lovett is darling!! Think, my favorite movie, “The Holiday”, but the love interests don’t meet in their vacation locales. They are the ones doing the swapping! It would make a great movie, so someone should really get on that, just sayin’. I will start by saying: […]

[Lisa’s Review:] The Crown of Gilded Bones (Blood and Ash #3) by Jennifer L. Armentrout

If you are debating whether or not to read this book, you must be new to the gang. In that case, please abort mission, clear your schedule (for the next seventy-two+ hours), get some coffee, put your hair in a bun and grab From Blood and Ash (Blood and Ash #1). If you did read […]

[Taylor’s Review] : Second First Impressions by Sally Throne

Sally Thorne won me over with The Hating Game a few years ago and that love was cemented with 99 Percent Mine. Having been a fan of Thorne’s previous books, I jumped at the opportunity to read her newest novel Second First Impressions. Second First Impressions, is a contemporary romance novel that features Ruthie Midona, […]

[Diane’s Review]: The Crown of Gilded Bones by Jennifer L. Armentrout

THIS BOOK WAS A RIDE SENT STRAIGHT FROM THE HEAVENS! JLA has done it again with The Crown of Gilded Bones! From the first line we’re thrown back into the depths of Atlantia and the intensity that is Poppy’s life. After chapter one I was certain this was going to be a five star read. […]

[Sita’s Review]: Second First Impressions by Sally Thorne

What a joyful, gorgeous, funny, and magnetic read. I’ve been busy with lots of work, work, work, work, work so this book has been my daily treat. Only sampling a few chapters everyday until I finished. People! That was difficult because it’s such a sweet and easy to read book, I know Sally Thorne fans […]

[Brittany’s Review]: To Love and to Loathe (The Regency Vows #2) by Martha Waters

This was my first book by this author and I will most definitely be reading more of her work. If you love historical romance with steamy scenes and hilarious characters, I highly recommend this book. In the Regency-era book, we meet the widowed Diana, Lady Templeton. Diana is a beautiful woman who has achieved what […]
